Today we wanted to give you a glimpse of how we manage our remodeling and construction projects. It’s called Builder Trend, and it’s available for both our crew and clients to access via the “login” link from our website.
Once logged in, there are several areas you can visit. Here is the calendar view:
Each client’s project is color coded. For the month of December, you’ll notice we focused on two major projects (colored in orange and blue).
From there, you can read which work was scheduled for which project. As an example, on December 1st we were doing demo on one project and adding siding, drywall, and paint to another. We also had a meeting about framing out one of our projects.
From Builder Trend, we can also exchange messages, upload key documents and plans, add change orders, and manage our current list of subcontractors in a seamless way.
How this helps our Crew
By having a schedule set up online, our crew can easily see what work needs to get done when and where. It has also been a helpful tool for communicating with our subcontractors and suppliers. As a final bonus, managing our schedule and projects online is a one way we can keep things “green” at Fat Boy Construction.
