Roof, sheeting are up on Steilacoom home
Work progresses on this beautiful waterview home Fat Boy Construction is building in Steilacoom, Wash. Hand-framing is complete, the garage floor has been poured, sheeting is up, and a 30-year architectural composite shingle roof has been installed. Next up: Shear-tie panel inspection, then installation of windows, Tyvek, insulation and siding.

Work is progressing on this 5,700-square-foot custom home in Steilacoom, Washington. The Fatboy crew is currently hand-framing the house. In order to maximize the views of Puget Sound, we’re using Simpson Strong-Tie panels in the corners, so we can install large windows without compromising shear value (the ability for the walls to support horizontal loads).
